What began as a career in copywriting and broadcast news has turned into a passion for data and helping organizations to become data-driven. She decided to earn her degree in broadcast journalism from the College of Communication at Boston University because the news was always a focal point in her home while growing up. She began her career while still in school, working at local ad agencies as a junior writer. She also worked at WPEP-AM editing and anchoring the new. Meredith first noticed her interest in marketing while writing for First Financial Marketing Group. While at First Financial Marketing Group Meredith Leigh Pratt was exposed to information technology. This lead her to persue a Master's Degree in Technical Communication at Northeastern University. Today, Meredith Leigh Pratt has extensive experience with the high tech industry totaling over 20 years. Currently serving as the Design Manager at Eagle Investment Systems in Wellesley, Massachusetts, Meredith believes that at the heart of the changes that are upon all of us, as the result of the digital transformation, is data. She believes that companies need to take a strategic approach to managing data by focusing on the value of the information itself rather than the information systems and their methodologies or processes. Meredith knows that its important to ask a few questions in order to get to the root of growth: How can our customer focus be more data-driven? Once we find and extract quality data, how can it help us serve our customers better? How do we monetize that? Do we have the right skillsets to facilitate this?
