Mithara Kaluarachchi is a freshman at the University of Notre Dame enrolled in the Hesburgh-Yusko Scholars Program, a selective program dedicated to equipping world changers and disruptors with transformational and impactful leadership skills. She is a Neuroscience and Behavior major and plans on additionally majoring in Gender Studies with a concentration on Science. Mithara serves as a Student Leader for the Students Demand Action chapter at Notre Dame, is involved with the Active Minds mental health group on campus, and plans on filling more roles in areas of her interest during her time at Notre Dame. In her free time, Mithara loves to read, watch documentaries, and run around the majestic lakes on Notre Dame's campus.
