Sabastian Niles is President and Chief Legal Officer at Salesforce, where he leads the company’s global legal and corporate affairs organization and oversees its approach to trust, governance, risk, and corporate accountability in an era of rapid AI-driven change. He is responsible for guiding Salesforce through complex legal, regulatory and business challenges while scaling innovation, ensuring the company’s approach is grounded in trust, customer priorities and stakeholder success, responsible and trustworthy AI, ethical practices, and long-term impact. He also serves as a trusted member of and advisor to Salesforce’s C-suite, Board of Directors and key stakeholders, advancing a vision of humans and AI agents responsibly working together to drive stakeholder success. Prior to joining Salesforce in 2023, Sabastian was a partner at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, where he advised global companies on corporate governance, enterprise risk oversight, stakeholder and shareholder affairs, strategic investments, mergers and acquisitions and matters of corporate offense and defense. Sabastian is an elected fellow of the American Law Institute and a member of the Council of Foreign Relations, the Board of Directors of the Partnership for New York City and the Economic Club of New York. He has also served as a director of Literacy Partners, advancing multi-generational literacy by supporting adults, parents, and caregivers in nurturing the literacy skills they and the children in their lives need to thrive. Sabastian earned his law degree from Harvard Law School where he co-founded the Harvard Association of Law and Business, and holds undergraduate degrees in Economics, Finance, and Decision and Information Sciences from the University of Maryland.
