Sarah Ketchen Lipson is an assistant professor in the Department of Health Law Policy and Management at the Boston University School of Public Health. She is also Associate Director of the Healthy Minds Network for Research on Adolescent and Young Adult Mental Health and co-Principal Investigator of the Healthy Minds Study. Additionally, Sarah serves as co-chair of the National Network of Depression Centers’ College Mental Health Task Force. Sarah’s research focuses primarily on mental health and service utilization in college populations. She employs varied methodologies, including large-scale epidemiological surveys and population-level interventions. Sarah completed a dual Ph.D. at University of Michigan in Health Services Organization and Policy at the School of Public Health and Higher Education at the School of Education, where she was awarded best dissertation of the year. She received her bachelor’s degree from Tufts University where she was awarded best honors thesis of the year and graduated with honors. She holds a master’s from Harvard University and was a Fulbright scholar.
