We as women often multi-task intensely and care for others at the expense of ourselves. As a woman who lived this way, and burned out in crazy jobs, I've seen firsthand the importance of truly caring for yourself – on purpose. After nearly 20 years serving low-income communities through entrepreneurship and education programs -- and managing large teams -- I've also seen that a combination of high expectations, strong training and coaching, and a belief in every individual’s potential empowers people to secure a better life and accomplish more than they ever thought they could. This combination of experiences led me to Asutra. With 10,000 5-star reviews online, we’re the go-to for individuals who understand that active self care is key to getting the most out of life. We sell cruelty-free, organic, natural products that help people refresh their minds, re-energize their bodies, and replenish their souls. We use organic plants, minerals, and essential oils to craft products that work. We intentionally offer our products at accessible prices so that anyone can benefit from active self care. At Asutra, we’re proud to provide good jobs with career pathways. We’re woman-owned and women-led; 70% of our staff are women of color, and 100% would recommend Asutra as a great place to work. Before Asutra, I generated $500M of revenue for two national education organizations, New Leaders and Teach For America; grew Teach For America's revenue 4x; increased New Leaders’ customers 3x; and built high-performing, 20+ person sales and marketing teams. Prior to that, I helped women in Chicago start small businesses. I began my career at McKinsey & Company, advising clients in financial services and retail.
