Based on a book, this contemporary romance follows the story of Rachel Chu who flies to Singapore to meet her boyfriend’s family. It’s only after she lands in Singapore does Rachel realize that her boyfriend Nick’s family is one of the richest families in Singapore. And if that wasn’t all, she also finds out that her boyfriend is the most sought out bachelor in the country. Now that she’s here, Rachel has to deal with jealous socialites, quirky relatives and something even worse – Nick’s disapproving mother.
Book: The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
Lucy Hutton and Joshua Templeman are two executive assistants to co-CEOs of a publishing company who don’t just dislike each other, but rather ‘hate’ each other. And both Lucy and Joshua have no qualms about displaying their hatred for each other openly. Lucy cannot stand Joshua’s joyless and uptight attitude at work. On the other hand, Joshua cannot put up with Lucy’s bright clothes and quirky attitude. If this wasn’t fun, then things get even more interesting when both of them submit an application for the same promotion. Things get pretty eventful then on. It is the perfect rom-com which should actually be made into a movie. (We hope that ‘The Hating Game’ becomes one of the books turning into movies in 2019)
