The challenges that leaders face within the 21st Century workforce is unprecedented, to say the least.

There are so many issues to manage and many, if not all, come without a users manual. You and I as leaders have to figure it out and/or prepare ourselves by getting the necessary training.

Some of the workplace issues are:

What does a leader do to manage these challenges?

2. Self Management – your ability to use awareness of your emotions to stay flexible and positively direct your behavior.

3. Social Awareness – your ability to accurately pick up on emotions in other people and understand what is really going on.

4. Relationship Management – your ability to use awareness of your emotions and the others’ emotions to manage interactions successfully.

When combined with the leadership traits mentioned above, leaders will be more equipped for the challenges of the 21st Century.
