While we rarely agree on anything in the United States, the one fact we do all come together on is that we need to change how our government operates. Things have gotten out of control and, no matter which political party you align yourself with, there’s no denying a need for change. While our government leaders don’t seem willing to police themselves, there are some young entrepreneurs leading the way in bringing about change.

Sarah Audelo

Ms. Audelo heads up the Alliance for Youth Organizing, which works on a number of youth advocacy groups. They strive to encourage voting among younger adults, while also pursuing other social and political issues. Raising the minimum wage and seeking reform in law enforcement are top concerns.

Emily Cherniack

Ms. Cherniack works through her New Politics Academy to get experienced leaders to run for office. Her organization encourages war veterans, peace corps members, and other service-oriented professionals to run for political office. The idea is that these types of individuals can effectively bring peace between partisan lines.

Steven Olikara

Heading up the Millennial Action Project, Mr. Olikara is another entrepreneur who recognizes a need to eliminate the partisan divide. Steven’s organization unites young adults who share these concerns, providing them with a forum to address issues that will affect their futures. Primarily, the group focuses on promoting legislation that will help entrepreneurs. To that end, the group hopes to advance skills training and provide access to more tech innovations in the workplace.

Rev. Gregory Holston

Rev. Holston founded POWER to provide a resource that helps people enact change through faith-based actions. The group brings together people from various faiths to help them push for change. Issues that concern POWER members include reforming the criminal justice system, creating more educational opportunity, and reforming the healthcare system. The group hopes to show others that faith can lead the way in changing the political and social issues that affect them.

The entrepreneurs mentioned here are but a few leading a force for change. Their goals are to create a better way of life for everyone, though each may go about doing it differently. By learning more about each entrepreneur, you can understand what issues they hope to address and how they hope to bring about change.
