In this article we will demonstrate how raising one’s LQ can bring about change within our immediate environments and lead to global change. Each and every one of us who are improving our LQ are creating a ripple effect which impacts every other person we come into contact with and in this way we are able to bring the vibration of the planet closer to one of love, peace and harmony.
One of our favorite quotes is from Mahatma Gandhi who said “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” By raising our LQ and living a life from a place of love and kindness we become the change we are trying to effect.
Small actions resulting in massive impact
Love, even on an individual level can change the world. A small change in emotional energy in one place and time can have an energetic impact on an individual or group of individuals at another time. The well-known butterfly effect proposed by American mathematician and meteorologist Edward Lorenz can be used as a metaphor for this concept.
“The phrase refers to the idea that a butterfly’s wings might create tiny changes in the atmosphere that may ultimately alter the path of a tornado or delay, accelerate or even prevent the occurrence of a tornado in another location. The butterfly does not power or directly create the tornado, but the term is intended to imply that the flap of the butterfly’s wings can cause the tornado.”
Wikipedia – Butterfly Effect
This analogy shows that in complex systems, small changes in the inputs can have dramatic changes in the systems behavior. Similarly, an energetic “flap of the butterfly’s wings” i.e. love, or a loving intention, can have a powerful impact on global change. The higher our LQ is, the more infused with love every action we do will be. Even actions which, on the surface may not seem to be a loving act, such as brushing our teeth or paying our bills can have an impact on our LQ. When we recognize these actions and the hundreds of similar things we do as self-love or self-care our entire perspective changes. Almost everything we do helps fill up our emotional bank account or love supply which makes us more loving individuals. When we are all more kind and loving the collective impact becomes that much more powerful.
Studies prove that group meditation reduces crime, war and terrorism
According to a Medium article titled We Can Literally Reduce Crime Through Meditation “The Maharishi principle states that at least 1% of any population can affect positive change. However, the extended Maharishi Effect introduced a new formula stating that only the square root of 1% of the population is enough to neutralize negative tendencies and affect positive trends.”
Studies have shown that group meditation can reduce crime and violence and even bring an end to war in certain areas of the world. Bestselling author and lecturer Dr. Joe Dispenza says “there’s significant evidence that group meditations of the right size with skilled meditators who change their emotions and energy can influence and create nonlocal, measurable effects on peace and global coherence.”
According to the Institute of Science, Technology and Public Policy at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, 50 demonstration projects and 23 published scientific studies indicate that we can permanently stop war and terrorism. A peace-creating assembly consisting of 8000 experts which continued for two years (1988-1990) had a massive peace-keeping impact. During that time the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan ended, the war between Iran and Iraq came to a close and so did the cold war.
An article in Spirit Science explains the Global Maharishi effect as follows “Simply put, consciousness is a fundamental property of the universe, and since all levels of reality arise out of consciousness, all levels of reality are affected by the frequency of vibration of the superstrings within this field of consciousness.”
Love as an energetic waveform
“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.”
Nikola Tesla
We believe that all hearts are connected and as we will show, this idea can be backed up by science. The field of quantum mechanics offers a theory about the interconnectivity of everything called quantum entanglement. Space.com describes quantum entanglement as follows, “the basic idea of quantum entanglement is that two particles can be intimately linked to each other, even if separated by billions of light-years of space; a change induced in one will affect the other.” This theory was proven in three separate studies in 2015 and several studies since.

All of this began as a study of interconnectivity between two particles but there is another aspect to quantum mechanics. A Huffington Post article titled Quantum Mechanics of Love tells us that “quantum physics is really all about waves, so much so that it used to be called wave mechanics in its early days. It essentially tells us that at a fundamental level everything behaves like waves of energy. Now, if waves truly underlie all of reality, it stands to reason that the rules that govern wave dynamics could certainly give us a few pointers about the dynamics of human behavior too”.
When we are loving ourselves we give off a vibration or a waveform of love. When similar waveforms are joined their combined waveform becomes stronger. So not only does our vibration impact the vibration of others it becomes stronger when we associate with others who have similar waveforms.
“An easy way to maintain a higher vibration is to interweave the qualities of our heart in our connections and interactions. These heart qualities include love, care, compassion, kindness, appreciation, forgiveness, and more.” says Sara and Doc Childre of the HeartMath Institute.
When we are kind and loving to ourselves and others we create powerful waveforms which have the potential to make a difference to all of mankind. Increasing our LQ by infusing our bodies with love empowers and strengthens our individual waveforms.
Quantum Theory and Love
“You are a wave in a vast ocean of intelligence, power, and wisdom”
Dr. Laura Berman
Quantum theory is becoming increasingly popular within the psychiatric community. Relationship Counselor Dr. Laura Berman is the host of In the Bedroom with Dr. Laura Berman on the Oprah Winfrey Network. She is also a regular guest on the Dr. Oz show. In her aptly titled book Quantum Love she says “We can’t see our actual emotions, but we can certainly see them manifested in our smiles or frowns, laughter or tears. All of that is energy – your energy. Our energy isn’t locked inside of us either. It is constantly flying out into the universe and can impact our world and the people around us in very tangible ways. This occurs because of the power of our shared connection… even though you might feel separate from the world around you, even isolated at times, you are actually connected to everything and every person around you.”
She explains the idea of quantum theory from the perspective of human relationships as follows: “Each of you has the power to affect the other’s energy-and by virtue of affecting each other’s energy, you actually affect each other’s physical, mental, and emotional frequency.”.
Mel Schwartz is the author of The Possibility Principle: How Quantum Physics Can Improve the Way You Think, Live, and Love, in which he discusses how we can apply the three core tenets of quantum physics—inseparability, uncertainty, and potentiality—to shape our lives. Browsing through a few of his blog posts we can see that quantum entanglement, and the theories arising therefrom, have impacted his approach towards the intrapersonal (anxiety and depression) and the interpersonal (couples and family dynamics).
On the subject of quantum entanglement he says “Two particles that have a close relationship are forever changed by that union. They continue to influence each other’s behavior even when they are no longer in proximity. Just imagine how profound this influence is in our human correspondence. ”
In a Psychology Today article titled Quantum Relationship: Keeping Your Love Connected Schwartz writes “In the turmoil we experience when a relationship becomes adversarial, we need to acknowledge or change something to shift the energy away from separation and back toward entangled wholeness.”
Schwartz is a big proponent of self change as a way to address challenges within relationships. He says “You can’t change another, but, by changing yourself, the energy of the relationship shifts and makes it easier for the other person to correspond… You can shift the energy by going first. When you modify or alter your attitude or communication, the other party is now in a different relationship. If you change yourself, they must be affected.”
“Connecting empathetically… is the most powerful thing we can do in troubled moments. It can turn the tide from a competitive, maybe even emotionally and verbally abusive, exchange back into a loving energy field once again entangled with caring.”
Now that we understand a bit of quantum theory and its impact on us as individuals, and it’s impact on our relationships, let’s examine further the impact of our personal energetic field on individuals whom we have never met and do not know but with whom we are nevertheless connected…
Interaction with the Earth’s electromagnetic field
How is it that a group of people participating in transcendental meditation in one place can impact not only a much larger group of people but also a group that is geographically dispersed?
In his latest book Becoming Supernatural, Dr Joe Dispenza gives us a plausible theory. He discusses the earth’s electro-magnetic field and the ways in-which we interact with this field. Dispenza says “For the most part humans are electromagnetic beings (entities that constantly send and receive messages via vibrational energies) whose bodies are made up of gravitationally organized light and information.”
According to a Hearth Math article titled Raising Our Vibration Through Compassion and Unconditional Love, “Science tells us that human beings and all creatures radiate an electromagnetic field produced by the heartbeat. Our feelings broadcast like radio waves through this field.”
Dispenza explains that “The purpose of the Earth’s electro-magnetic field is to protect it from the harmful effects of solar radiation and sunspots, cosmic rays, and other forms of space weather… According to NASA the ionosphere is an abundant layer of electrons, ionized atoms, and molecules that stretches from approximately 30 miles above the surface of the Earth to the edge of space, about 600 miles up,” and is “a critical link in the chain of sun-Earth interactions”.
The ionosphere resonates at a frequency of 7.83 Hz and acts as a background frequency which influences the circuitry of the mammalian brain on a subconscious level. This is also the frequency of our brains during meditation. When we are in a meditative state and we have achieved the upper range of theta brain waves, we are resonating an energy similar to that of the Earth’s electro-magnetic field.
“Because human heart rhythm and brain frequencies overlap with the Earth’s resonance field, GCI (Global Coherence Initiative) scientists suggest we are part of a biological feedback loop in which we not only receive relevant biological information from the field, but we also feed information into this field… human thoughts (consciousness) and emotions (energy) interact with and encode this information into the Earth’s magnetic field, and this information is then distributed on carrier waves (the signal on which the information is impressed or carried) around the globe.”
In Chapter Thirteen of Becoming Supernatural, Dispenza discusses the importance of heart coherence. He says “The greater energy you can create through the elevated emotions of the heart, the more you’re going to connect with the unified field, which means you’re going to experience more wholeness, connection, and oneness. But you can’t experience that connection when you’re incoherent, feeling separate or living by the hormones of stress.”
HeartMath Institute Research Director, Rollin McCraty explains heart coherence as follows “One of the most effective ways to reduce stress and anxiety and even feelings of overwhelm is to learn how to access the intelligence of the heart and to shift the rhythms of the heart which sends a different neural message to the brain… which is where coherence comes in… it’s when the heart, mind and emotions are aligned and working together harmoniously… if you can shift the rhythms of the heart you can quickly improve brain function, reduce feelings of stress, anxiety (and) overwhelm but it takes a different doorway, the heart.”
When we raise our LQ through the “I love you” practice, self-love and self-care we are sending powerful messages from our heart to our brain, changing not only ourselves and others with whom we come into contact but we are in-fact contributing towards global change on an energetic level. “Since thought is energy, what we churn around in our mind, determines the electromagnetic frequency we emit in our auric field.” says Medium blogger, Amara Love.
What can we as individuals do to impact global change?
“We are all inextricably linked. To assist another, is to enhance your own wellbeing. In the emergent worldview, the distinction between other and self melts away.”
Mel Schwartz
The following summary lists the various ways in-which we as individuals can affect global change
- Practice self-love through the “I love you” technique
- Practice self-care by paying attention to our emotional, physical and mental well-being
- Pay it forward through acts of kindness
- Donate time or money to worthy causes
- Build a profitable and successful business starting from a place of self-care
- Be a stand for the change you wish to see as opposed to fighting against the things you see is in the way of change.
Practicing self-love and self-care are ways in-which we can raise our love quotients and in so doing raise our individual vibrations. Not only is the “I love you” practice a great way to connect with one’s inner child and heal past wounds, the technique can help us feel safe in our own bodies so that a space opens up in-which we can feel through negative emotions. In this way we can bring our emotional state into coherence. Coherence is essential to raising our vibration or frequency to one of love and peace.
Raising awareness about global issues, donating money, giving one’s time towards a worthy cause or creating a business in an area that has a social impact are all ways of expressing love in action. However, even if we are not actively involved through activism, donations or volunteer work we can still be a part of the change. Just by raising our LQ’s and being kind and loving we contribute to a rising tide of caring, kindness and goodwill.
