The world is a hectic place, with so many things happening at once and developing very fast, and with so many voices telling us what we should and shouldn’t do and how we should behave. Throughout all of that, it can sometimes be difficult to stay true to yourself and your own thoughts and beliefs. And with all those loud voices, how can you ever clearly hear your own inner voice? How do you hear your intuition when it tries to subtly tell you that something isn’t right or that there’s something or somebody you should pay more attention to? If you put a lot of value in your intuition and want it to be one of your strongest allies, here is how you can hear it better and listen to what it tells you.

Go with your gut

You know how your gut feels like it’s in a knot when you have an important meeting or a big exam coming up? The reason for this is the connection between your mind any your body. After all, there are neurons lining your gut, and this enteric nervous system has close to 100 million neurons. So, when you’re facing a tough decision and your gut is telling you that what you’re leaning towards is the wrong choice, stop and reconsider. Sometimes there won’t be any tangible evidence or data to support what you think is right, but that’s what intuition is for. Therefore, give it the benefit of a doubt, take a few deep breaths and try to relax before you make any final moves. If there’s something you’re not comfortable with, you may not be aware why that is, but your gut will tell you that you should take a step back. Listen to it and take what it’s telling you into consideration.

Try fasting for mental clarity

Short-term stress is actually the body’s primal response to anything frightening, challenging or dangerous we encounter. This kind of stress tends to sharpen the senses, while also increasing our awareness of everything going on around us, as well as inside us. One way to trigger this natural response is through intermittent fasting, which means that you restrain yourself from taking any food containing calories for a period of 12 to 24 hours. Fasting can increase the speed in which your brain synapses respond to all sorts of information. It can also help you clear your mind and allow your intuition to get through to you, so give it a try. If your appetite is an issue, premium hCG drops may suppress it, so that you go through your fasting period without being too hungry.

Enjoy the silence

Being on your own and shutting down all the noises of the people and the world around you, can allow you to tap into your intuition more easily. Your intuition is always there, working for you and sending you quiet messages, warnings and encouragements, but due to the outside noise, it’s sometimes difficult to hear that delicate inner voice and what it’s telling you. So, if you take some time to be still and sort your thoughts out alone and in silence, your intuition will get through to you more clearly. This can be done through the practice of mindfulness. If you do your best to focus your thoughts on the right here and right now, on your own thoughts, emotions,  and experiences, you’ll allow mindfulness to clean out all the clutter in your mind, so that you can get in tune with your intuition.

Be careful who you spend your time with

Being around people and connecting with them on levels that don’t include verbal communication can help you develop your intuition and learn how to listen to it. When you meet somebody, you won’t simply judge them by what they tell you or what they wear. You’ll observe their body language, gestures and their facial expressions, you’ll listen to the tone and the volume of their speech and analyze them through all of those things, whether you’re aware of it or not. This ability to notice what other people are thinking or feeling is a way to enhance your empathy and your intuition. It will allow you to choose exactly which people you want to allow into your life and which ones you want to avoid. This is important since those people who have negative thoughts and attention can drain you of your energy and enthusiasm and their noise can make it almost impossible to hear what your intuition is telling you. It’s up to you to give the good ones a chance while staying away from the ones you simply aren’t compatible with.

Your intuition can open your eyes to things you normally wouldn’t even notice. It’s powerful and can lead you towards different realizations and many good things in life. However, no matter how strong your intuition is, always use it in combination with some rationality and good old common sense. Only when they’re in balance will you be able to make the right decisions, if not all of the time, then most of it.
