Simon is famously known across social media for helping 1000 people share their stories on a global scale within one year. From rags to riches he shares his best tips on how to win against adversity.
What are your best tips to win against adversity?
“I’ll give 3 tips and I’ll start with saying the most important one to win against adversity is perspective. Perspective is literally everything. How we decide to look at things and what they mean to us will determine our outcome. For example when I was sleeping in my car I could of thought “I need to give up on my business, it’s not working and I failed” but instead I thought “I’m great at what I do, and I have go to through this to get my reward and guess what, I got it”!
“The second tip would be reading. What we input is what we output. So if we input garbage in our brain we will output garbage. It’s important to keep learning new perspectives and skills to be ready for whatever comes our way and I believe reading books gives us that ability do so. “The third tip is never give up. It’s hard to beat someone who never gives up. We can take when we learned how to walk for example. In the beginning we fell over and over until we became strong enough to do it alone. After 1000 attempts we learned how to walk because we never gave up”.
We’ve learned a lot about you and noticed you’re also a celebrity in the comedy world with over 10,000 views on your last YouTube stand up, how do you balance them both?
“Funny you bring that up. I balance them both because busy people make time. Comedy has helped me with business and overcoming the fear of speaking in front of hundreds. I’ve been writing a lot I’m just waiting for this covid to pass to get back on the mic”.
Speaking of celebrities we seen you work with Kerry Rhodes on his new single, who is next in line?
“Yes, his new single called “Standing In The Light” is a full of enlightenment. Especially during these times we need music like his that brings us joy. Haha, I don’t give spoilers and I don’t choose them they choose me”.
