Thrive Global: What are your names
Ashley Liz: My names are Ashley Liz Cooper
TG: what do you do
AL: I am a model and influencer. I also have a clothing brand called The Liz XX, that I am currently working on the second season of. I’m also in school working on my degree.
TG: A short story about you
AL: A fun story about me is that I was just on the cover of Maxim Mexico! I got to fly down to CDMX and shoot for a magazine I always wanted to be in! It was amazing!
TG: What gives you energy?
AL: My addiction to organic energy drinks! Also the feeling of when my alarm goes off every morning and I know how much stuff I have to get done that day!
TG: What’s your secret life hack?
AL: My secret life hack would be to always lay out your outfit the night before! Also keep your espresso machine upstairs if you have one! It’s a lot easier to get out of bed in the morning when you are ready to go and your liquid courage is right there!
TG: Name a book that changed your life.
AL: A book that completely changed my life would definitely be “Human, All Too Human,” by Nietzsche. I am obsessed with philosophy and this was one of the first books I was required to read in the first Philosophy course I took in college.
TG: Tell us about your relationship with your phone. Does it sleep with you?
AL: Unfortunately, my phone and I are sleeping together. While I know, deep down, it is an unhealthy relationship… I am just able to get so much done from it and communicate with friends all over the world that I just love its power so much!
TG: How do you deal with email?
AL: I am constantly checking my e-mail! For a very long time, I managed myself so I became super used to checking and responding to e-mails almost as if they were text messages.
TG: You unexpectedly find 15 minutes in your day, what do you do with it?
AL: As much as this will make me sound like a crazy cat lady, if I have an extra 15 minutes in my day, I would spend it with my two new kittens that I just rescued!
TG: When was the last time you felt burned out and why?
AL: Sometimes I feel super burnt out! A lot of the time actually… but I’ve learned to just power through it and everything always works out (as long as you’re getting enough water!)
TG: When was the last time you felt you failed and how did you overcome it?
AL: The last time I felt like I failed was when I gave a friend bad guy advise… For a second, it made me feel like a bad friend but after we both talked about it, she told me it was up to her to either follow my advice or not and that made me feel a lot better!
TG: Share a quote that you love and that gives you strength or peace.
AL: My favorite quote is by Mac Miller, “No matter where life takes me, find me with a smile.”
