An Article On Beating Stress And Achieving Success

Laurence Moss is the founder and CEO of Greedy Growth. Over the years, Laurence has helped dozens of brands and individuals define their social media marketing strategies.

Three days ago, I spoke with Laurence. During our conversation, he shares some words of advice on handling stress and achieving success as a young entrepreneur.

Avoiding Anxiety And Burnout

Laurence realizes that anxiety is natural. Part of running a business is constantly encountering new road blocks and situations which are unfamiliar, and create anxiousness, but the more you face those challenges, the less daunting the next one will be, it’s all about taking things one at a time.

Laurence has programmed his mind to push past anxiety using the method stated above, constantly reminding himself whenever he comes across a tough situation that it will do nothing but good for him. Due to this, handling anxiety has become much more easier for Laurence to do.

In addition, Laurence makes sure he gets enough sleep, has a balanced diet, and exercises, which all contribute to his mental and physical health, making him in a better position to succeed in day to day business activities.

Achieving Success

To attain the level of success you desire, Laurence believes you must absolutely love what you do, and not wish for anything else or feel regret. It requires complete dedication and perseverance, otherwise when the going gets tough you’ll likely just give up.

You need to put your heart into your work, and not lose sight of the end goal.

Laurence also referred to one of his favorite quotes from John D Rockefeller:

“I do not think that there is any other quality so essential to success of any kind as the quality of perseverance. It overcomes almost everything, even nature.”

Source of motivation

Motivation is a consciousness that helps us take action towards achieving our goals. Without befitting motivation, the majority of us won’t be where we are today.

To gain motivation, Laurence spends time listening to podcasts interviewing industry leaders to hear their stories, and in addition, Laurence pro-actively reads self-growth and entrepreneur journey books, such as ‘Shoe Dog’ by Phil Knight, the Founder of Nike, and ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’.

With the help of these resources Laurence has the ability to stay fresh with his head in the game, fixated upon his vision and where he wants to be in 5, 10 or even 20 years.

Continuous Growth

What’s gotten Laurence to where he is today has been continuous learning, self-growth and development in his industry.

Along with constant adaptation, and regular networking with industry leaders, Laurence is definitely on track to attain success for both himself and those around him.

Increased advancements, success and self-development will arise from Laurence doubling-down on everything that’s gotten him to where he is now.
