Josh Rubach was raised in West New York, New Jersey. From an early age, his family always ensured that he knew the purpose of having important values, such as; treating others well, and developing a strong work ethic, were just a few things instilled in him by his hardworking parents. Through their hard work, they always put their son first in order to give him the best life and education. His mother was an educator and reading specialist in the New York City School District for over 25 years. Rubach’s father emigrated to the United States in 1952 from a war-torn Poland, and he always did whatever it took to provide for his family. Josh Rubach was encouraged to develop his own independence and to march to the beat of his own drum.

Rubach was fortunate to attend Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois where he majored in history because he wanted to study people’s thought processes and how our world has gotten to the place it has today. 1) What inspired you to begin in this field?

I started working in the warehouse with the products and promotional items. I wanted to provide items with the best quality and provide the safest products to the industry. It is rare in today’s climate to have businesses that care about more than a bottom line. This was something I wanted to ensure did not get lost in any business I partook in; in every venture one’s values should always remain.

2) When you were starting out, was there ever a time you doubted it would work? If so, how did you handle that?

Every person encounter moments of doubts. Whether the situation is in business or within one’s personal life, you must be confident in your decisions and learn from your mistakes. In the immortal words of Bill Withers, “If it is to be, it is up to me.” For anything in life, you must be positive. Negativity won’t pull you through.

3) How did you build up your clientele?

I made a phone call and was able to convince them after learning about what their priorities and necessities were. I was able to provide what they needed after determining that. Once you establish that relationship with your clients, it makes it easier to know what they need and provide that to them, as effectively as possible.

4) What is one strategy that you’re using that helps in your everyday life?

Self-Actualization. Telling myself that I’m going to have a great day and being cognitive. If I think about it, then I can achieve it. It helps to be prepared mentally and physically for the arduous task of a full workday. Eating a good breakfast, having a good workout and listening to music that gets you pumped up helps you to have the right mindset to achieve success.

5) What is the toughest decision you’ve had to make in the last few months?

There aren’t very many tough decisions that I’ve made. Usually, people decide for me based on how they act and behave. That determines the outcome. After reading the situation and seeing what it presents, I’m not really deciding.

6) What do you think it is that makes you successful?

It all goes back to being positive every day. Treating people with kindness and helping them have a good day. You choose what kind of day you’re going to have, and that sets the tone for the people you interact with. When people are in a good frame of mind, they’ll produce better outcomes. A sense of humor goes a long way.

7) What has been your most satisfying moment in building your career?

I think the most satisfying moments in business are when I’m able to take someone who hasn’t had the same opportunities offered to them; who hasn’t had the confidence in themselves or believed in themselves, and change their world view and help them feel like they deserve the best. A lot of people don’t believe that they deserve to be happy or successful and I think that’s incorrect. I really enjoy seeing someone change their lives after realizing their self-worth and seeing that they deserve to be as successful as everybody else.

8) What does the future hold for your business? What are you most excited about?

We’ve been lucky enough to surround ourselves with talented individuals who care about the company, which isn’t always easy. We want this to be a place that people like to be in and don’t want to leave. We’re looking forward to using our success to help others, whether it’s through our products or charitable endeavors and to allow more people an opportunity to make a living to support their families and loved ones.

9) What is a recent purchase you have made that’s helped with your business?

We’re using 21st-century technology to be able to get our customers their products in a seamless operation. Orders go out faster than ever, and it has increased customer satisfaction, which is what we’re dedicated to.

10) What is the best thing about your current job?

The best thing about my job is that I get to work with people. They want to do better in their professional and personal lives. It’s really satisfying to see people grow and seeing that success in numbers.
