A generation still full of life and experience
All we read lately is about empowerment, giving, helping and including.
Yet, there is a generation out there still full of live, experience and ready to work.
Nobody seems to connect, reply, or even take a second look at those profiles, because companies want to hire a 24-year old with the experience of a 50-year old.
WHY? Because the companies and HR personnel think that it is better to invest in someone who is young, rather than someone who has so much to offer but might be available for only a decade.
This is really unfair.
A lot of articles on platforms like LinkedIn, claim that nobody should be left out, that everyone should be accepted when they reach out to connect, yet the very own writers and advocates of those articles completely ignore you.
So how do we make companies understand that age matters only to the value that will be added to your company?
Thoughts anyone?
