Anyone can look chic while traveling, and there’s no need to spend a lot of money or pack a ton of clothes.  Whenever I travel, I never check my bag. I pack keeping this in mind.

Here are some helpful tips……

Pack clothes in coordinating colors

Anyone can look chic while traveling, and there’s no need to spend a lot of money or pack a ton of clothes.  Whenever I travel, I never check my bag. I pack keeping this in mind.

When choosing outfits to pack, make sure you can mix and match pieces to create multiple outfits for different days and scenarios. For example, you can bring black, white and charcoal. If you are going somewhere tropical, I suggest white, tan and yellow. I bring a mixture of pants, dresses, a skirt, T-shirt, button down and sweater.

  • Limit the number of shoes

I like to keep it simple. My sneakers to workout, a dressy pair of flats and a pair of heels.

For men, I’d recommend sneakers and a nice loafer.

  • Don’t forget to accessorize

I don’t like to travel with a lot of jewelry but I do bring statement pieces. The same goes for men.

I always wear a watch and I bring one pair of earrings that will go with everything. If you aren’t a jewelry person, try a scarf or socks (for men) to enhance your outfit.

  • Bulky items.

If there will be a formal event during your travels and you need to bring a long gown or tux, consider shipping them to your hotel in advance.  The hotel can take care of steaming out any wrinkles once it arrives.
