Failure and negativity are both draining!

It’s not right that people, good people, should have to tolerate these cultures within organisations.

The mental anguish that takes over can be overwhelming for some, so much so, depression and anxiety become an every day occurrence and when I witnessed others fall into these behaviours, feeling helpless to do anything, I knew there had to be a way I could help.

But I wasn’t just the casual observer.  I too had fallen victim of anxiety and depression due to the behaviours of the so called leaders.

Being an observer and a victim of poor leadership gave me a very unique perspective of the leadership culture and a drive to support leaders new to the role to ensure they didn’t fall foul of poor leadership.

You see, it isn’t just the staff and team members that suffer from poor leadership.

The leaders also foul foul of mental health issues

But it’s not all doom and gloom!

I found a position of leadership where I led with the values and beliefs I knew worked and motivated others quickly, allowing them to thrive and enjoy the service I was providing as a manager of a basketball centre.  I influenced parents, players and staff and ensured their needs were met both physically and mentally.

So why did I write a book on leadership?

There is too much negativity in the world and not enough focus on growing relationships and helping people become the best they can be.

People are becoming more selfish than ever in this world that is being overtaken by social media and instant feedback. The world is becoming more about hiding behind digital personas as opposed to real interactions with others.

Being a great leader involves speaking to and understanding people for who they are, discovering their values and beliefs, their strengths, their weaknesses and aspirations.  It involves taking deliberate action.

The world needs more leaders that understand people.

The world needs passionate people who want to influence and support other’s growth and direction.

In all my 20 plus years observing leadership, being a leader and operating in various cultures within organisations, I’ve taken my experiences and combined them with training and powerful insights to produce a coaching guide for any leader to read and immediately take deliberate action to create immediate positive change.

No more will people suffer in silence.

No more will a leader feel useless and frustrated.

No more will people feel depression and anxiety.

I pretty much emptied my head of the knowledge and poured it into this unique guide, aimed to removing negativity, a sense of frustration and replace them with inspiration and passion.

The only choice you have to make is do you want to take deliberate action or not?
