Why do we shy away from our own power? Sometimes, it’s because we are afraid we won’t know how to utilize it properly. And sometimes it is because we’re afraid to step out from the crowd. When you are in your own power, it truly is the safest place to be. It means that you know you are whole and complete and you are acting on that truth. There are so many myths out there about our power that set up limiting beliefs around this unlimited capacity. How do you let go of your limiting beliefs around power? You start by dissolving some of the myths around limitless abilities:

  • Power Can Be Taken Away – the only way this can happen is by taking your life force away. Other than that, NO ONE has the control or authority to steal your power.
  • Power Can Be Given Away – no, it just can feel like it. Your power isn’t a tradable asset that can be shifted among others. It is yours and yours alone, and you command it.
  • Some People Are More Powerful Than Others – nope. We all have the same access to power. No Soul is more powerful than another . . . it’s how we use that power that counts.

So, how do you tap into your unlimited power? Here are some fun ways using my favorite model of power – Wonder Woman.

Understand Aphrodite’s Law
I did a little reading on Wonder Woman. This chick rocks. The only way Wonder Woman can lose her powers is if she allows herself to be bound or chained by a male – Aphrodite’s Law. In other words, if she chooses to allow a man (and I believe we can substitute that for all of humankind here) take away her free will.

Often, we aren’t even aware of how we fall into the pattern of non-choice. Let’s find out where your power center is in your body. Take a deep breath, focus on your tailbone, and ask your Soul and body where your power center is. Notice when you are making a decision whether the power center feels good or there is tension or discomfort there. If there is tension and discomfort it is because you are allowing your power to be bound and chained.

Find Your Inner Amazon

Wonder Woman is an Amazon — a race of female warriors. She is also blessed by six Olympian deities. These include Aphrodite, who gave her the talents of great beauty and a loving heart. Sounds like a lot of women I know. Often, we have been taught to turn to our superpowers of strength and speed. What about the power of your heart? Today, approach the world without any fears of what people will think. Feel your inner Amazon, who is blessed with a loving and compassionate heart.

Your Lasso Of Truth
Your truth is your power. What is your truth? Focus on your tailbone and connect to your Soul to ask yourself this question, then allow the answer to bubble up from deep within you: What is your truth and how do you get to express it today?

Each one of us must remember that we have the choice to know we are safe expressing and being our power.
