“The day science begins to study non-physical phenomena, it will make more progress in one decade than in all the previous centuries of its existence.”

~ Nikola Tesla

Hello Winter 2018.

We all want to be superheroes don’t we?

Or do we feel we need superheroes these days for a large array of issues?

Paging Batman.

Batman? You there?

Silence.

I guess the light bulbs died in the Bat signal.

Maybe Batman is on vacation.

I still think Batman is Gary Vaynerchuk. But that’s a longer story. Gary Vaynerchuk challenges us in how we think. That’s why he’s the modern day Batman.

Let me explain.

The air feels different out there these days doesn’t it?

It feels like there’s big change afoot. Sometimes it just feels overwhelming. It feels like there’s more pressure amongst everyone on and off social media than we can handle.

But what’s really going on?

Is it just stress? Road bumps? A one way ticket to doom and gloom?

Or is it something bigger?

What if we’re being pushed towards a new paradigm? A new way of thinking.

I’m going to call it the Humanity Belief system.

“You know what the issue is with this world? Everyone wants a magical solution to their problems but everyone refuses to believe in magic.”

~Alice In Wonderland

Do you notice what the biggest difference Is between Democrats and Republicans?

Many might say it’s all about emotions vs. logic. That Democrats go on what they feel. They’re more feel, emotion based people while Republicans live in logic and rationale.

I don’t think that’s quite right.

There’s more going on.

My belief is….

Democrats: Focused On The Current Moment

Republicans: Attached to Outcomes

In many ways most woulds say Democrats are more Zen in this way. They approach each issue as it comes and believe in dealing in what’s happening right now. They believe in living in the moment and that that belief system gets us where we need to go.

Republicans on the other hand are looking more at the long term. They believe that the moment isn’t as important as what we’re headed toward. They’re more willing to suffer in a current moment if the ultimate outcome is what they believe to be more positive.

So let me ask you…

What happens when the next political party emerges?

What if the next paradigm is a combination of the best of both parties for the betterment and advancement of the species?

What if we came to realize that our biggest struggle is not our problems but rather how we think about our problems?

Interesting.

The political parties formed when we colonized America. This changed the world and we now have The United States Of America.

“America is a bus whose tires blew out, has caught fire, and is flying off a cliff full of people arguing about the price of bus tickets.”

~Braden Graeber

Whew. As mentioned above, people are getting restless these days. There’s more tension in the air than I ever remember. Are we headed down a path of doom? Or are we being pushed towards a new way of thinking? All great chance is preceded by chaos right? The less comfortable we get the more it means potential progress could be afoot? Or are we really just headed towards darkness? I wonder if in the 1400’s “darkness” was considered sailing away from Europe because if you do you’ll sail off the side of the earth.

Big picture: At one time the earth was thought to be “Flat”. But it wasn’t. It was round.

What if our thoughts are Round and we just don’t know it yet?

“Flat” earth was proved to be not true. It was round.

Maybe our thoughts are actually round and we can’t see them clearly yet because they’re an “ocean” away.

As in the 1400’s are we looking across a vast ocean of mystery thinking there may be land on the other side?

Is the next frontier really Mars? Is it really space?

Or…is it how we think about Mars and space?

Curiouser and curiouser.

Is it possible we can all be superheroes?

There are an infinite amount of possibilities.

Keep paying attention to people like Gary Vaynerchuk who challenge you to expand your thinking.

Have an open mind.

The brain is a muscle. It can always keep growing and expanding.

Oh. And Gary Vaynerchuk is still Batman.

See you soon.
